50 Days to Go

Happy Friday!!!!

I have had the best day EVER... LOL Ben and Lewis went to Dub-vegas to pick up windows and probably more power tools.... I am 100% there is more power tools.

I have gotten so much work done + 2 loads of washing, shopping etc. Off soon to pick up Riley and Ben and Lewis should be home soon too.

Our house is getting walls / windows / doors tomorrow!!!! So fricking excited. I have been very patient with the whole process, but we have only been living in this house for 2 months, so progress has been great!

My baby is getting so big, but small enough to be still doing sumersaults in my belly :) It is the best feeling in the world.

Um, what else? Kids are great, everyone's great!

Have a great weekend!

Love & new walls

8 Weeks to go

Third Trimester WOOP WOOP

I dont understand the whole trimester thing. If it was 9 months of pregnancy it would be split up into 3 equal months, but 40 weeks of pregnacy = 10 months???

Anyway, I am pretty certain the third trimester starts at 28 weeks - which is what I am today!!!!!

12 weeks to go and I am so excited.

Off to Broken Hill next Wednesday 17th Feb to book into the hospital and do some baby shopping :)

Still raining in Cobar - just lovely!!!

Love & countdowns,

February Already?

Where did the last month go? I hope this is no indication as to how fast the year will go!

Riley

Riley starts pre-school tomorrow - I am a little nervous for him, he is such a homebody and a Mumma's boy :) He is very excited about making new friends though.

Lewis

Lewis starts school on Thursday. We decided to switch him from blue school (convent) to green school (public) mainly due to the fact that he barely learnt anything last year, he practically hated going to school and I think the public has better access to technology etc. So we made the decision as a family but EVERYONE HAS A BLOODY OPINION.

We've been made feel like shit because we are changing his school! What the? But as I usually do I just smile and listen to the crap.

A child's school should not be a "status symbol" for the parents it should be about their education and encouraging competition in their lives. There are more kids at green school, so he will make more friends and will compete more both academically and physically. What's the point of having a child that is top of their class when there is only 5 male students the same age as them, compared to 35?

At the end of the day Cobar - all of the kids go to the same high school...

So I will stick to my guns and see how he goes at green school!

To the opinionaters... I dont judge you or your children, so please keep your opinions to yourselves!

House

Our house is getting there slowly but surely. I got a measure up for a new kitchen the other day, just waiting on the quote now! Have been looking at interior doors etc this week but we need to get gyprock, carpet, cornices, skirting boards etc soon.

The pool is looking fabulous. It went a bit green for a while (still getting my head around how to maintain a pool), but have done some reading etc and it is looking beautiful. The kids are getting a lot of use out of it anyway.

Baby Star

Coming up to 27 weeks this week - 13 weeks to go!! That has gone fast. I have a doctor's appointment on Thursday to get the results of my diabetes blood tests - fingers crossed I dont have gestational diabetes again. I feel very energetic and healthy though, so that has to be a good indication of my health! The baby is moving so much and feels like heaven when it kung-fu's iteself around my belly :)

Brock

Brock and Michelle are getting married in 10 weeks time! I am looking forward to a trip to Mildura with the family to celebrate this very anticipated occasion. Now to find something that will fit my "going to be very pregnant belly"?

Best go and start my day.

Love and wedding bells, Jes

P.S: Baby Star started when we told Riley that we were having another baby and he decided that was it's name... so it stuck

Oh My Goodness...

Well it's been 1 year and 8 months since my last confession... what happened to blogging? I loved it (bloody Facebook) LOL.

Well I am back nearly 2 years later with some big changes in our lives.

(not in any specific order)

1. Lewis is 8 now (turning 9 this year) & starting Year 3 next week.
2. Riley is 4 now (turning 5 this year) & starting preschool next week.
3. I am 30 now... BOOOOO
4. We sold our house of over 8 years (Bathurst Street).
5. We brought a fixer-upper in Bradley Street --> photos on here soon.
6. Ben and I are expecting our 3rd child in May this year.
7. I start University next month (one of those gotta do it before I get older things).
8. Ben works at CSA.
9. We are in Cobar and for once I feel finally settled.

So, thats about it (that I can think of) - but plenty to keep me busy for a while.

I didnt really want to share my baby-belly or house renno photos etc on Facebook so I will surely put them on here for everyone to see.

Here is my latest baby-belly photo - taken at 25 weeks.
